How It's Going?

I'm Maulana Ahmad Aji Triadi, a software engineer. I got into this out of curiosity about how computers and the software on them work. I started by experimenting with Visual Basic 6.0, which eventually led me to web development, then to PHP, blogging, and building web applications. I also spent time on graphic design and took part in a few logo design competitions. In 2018 I joined a programming competition and placed second, and that was the point where I started taking programming seriously. I went on to study at Universitas AMIKOM Yogyakarta, where I built academic and personal projects and came out with a much stronger foundation in software development.

After university I started working as a web developer, and later took on freelance projects. Over time the role grew past just web development, and I ended up working across different parts of the stack: PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL. Working across different projects and codebases taught me more than the technology did. Getting something to work is the easy half. Keeping it maintainable and reliable once other people depend on it is the half that takes years, and that is still the bar I hold my own work to.

These days I want to get stronger at software architecture, system design, performance, developer tooling, deployment, and building things that hold up under real load. I am also working through Go and Next.js, mostly to see how other people solve the same problems I keep running into.

Outside of work I build personal projects to try ideas I cannot try anywhere else and to learn new technologies along the way. This website is part of that. It started with curiosity, and that is still what drives me. I like taking something apart, working out why it broke, and putting it back together better than I found it.
