Next.js Blog Starter

A Next.js starter for MDX blogs: App Router, Tailwind, theme switching, and sitemap and robots already configured.

Most of the work in setting up a blog is plumbing, not writing, and Next.js Blog Starter is the plumbing already assembled. Posts are plain .mdx files in a posts folder, so publishing one means adding a file, and there is no CMS and no database to run or maintain. It runs on Next.js 14 with the App Router, MDX for content, and Tailwind for styling, with syntax highlighting through sugar-high and nothing to configure. Dark mode, an about page, navigation, and a 404 are already wired up, along with sitemap.ts, robots.ts, a default OG image, and image optimization through sharp. TypeScript, ESLint, and Prettier are set up from the start. Clone it, point config/site.ts at your own domain, and start writing.
